McCartney, daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney and photographer Linda McCartney, has fond memories of being raised in a "normal" household - one filled with love and music. Now, she’s looking back at the London locale’s history in a new documentary titled "If These Walls Could Sing." Mary McCartney spent her childhood at Abbey Road Studios, one of the most legendary recording facilities in the world, where her parents made music together.

It’s an absolute treasure chest for vinyl fans, with recreations of 65 singles (with original B-sides, with restored artwork) that Paul has put out over the years. It also features 15 singles, originally offered up as on 12”, picture discs, CD singles and other formats, which have never been released as seven-inch platters.

The limited edition vinyl set — which is limited to 3,000 copies — is gorgeously packaged in a special wooden art crate, designed and built in Derbyshire, UK, and includes a 148-page book that features a personal foreword by Sir Paul himself as well as an essay by music journalist Rob Sheffield and other material.

In 2012, Tom Jones released a recording of the song on his studio album, Spirit in the Room. But I texted her and said, “Is there any way that I could have your voice? ” We basically were in touch over the whole year, and eventually, she was like, “Oh, I’ve written something.” She sent me the recording.

I live near Abbey Road, so I see people on that sidewalk crossing a lot, making that pilgrimage to have their picture taken and just be there. Because there’s something about Abbey Road where it gives you this feeling, and it gives me that feeling. It feels like a special place, somewhere you want to create. The music that has been made there — the energy somehow does seep into you, or makes you feel inspired. "It was really heartwarming sitting down with dad," she said about the 80-year-old.
I knew I’d never get an interview with her, but just for her to do that was very meaningful, because she produced her own music there. She really used that space, and she’s a total rock star. She’s just so cool, because she just does what she wants. She won’t do press, but it’s all come back around for her, because you don’t forget a talent like that.

But for me, I wanted the emotion, and I wanted people to feel the emotion for it, through people telling their stories. McCartney said Paul’s eyes lit up as he spoke about "A Day in the Life," a song by The Beatles that was released as the final track of their 1967 album "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band." It is one of the best-selling albums of all time. When you go there, it doesn’t feel like people just going to have their picture taken — it seems like there’s a real feeling behind it. The documentary also features candid sit-downs with artists like Elton John, Noel Gallagher and Roger Waters. McCartney noted that the experience of filming her father has only brought them even closer. According to the filmmaker, she was even more compelled to bring the story of Abbey Road Studios to life after she came across a 1977 photo of her parents – and their pony - strolling through a nearby crosswalk.
